For
those of you who may not be aware, or have possibly overlooked this
facility, Norfolk County Council provides a mobile library service to
Blo’ Norton Village.
It
attends the village every fourth Wednesday, and stops at set places
and times, which are set out below. There may be some variations
regarding the dates - mainly arising from public holidays. Any
enquiries can be made to the County Council, on 01603 222267.

For your
information, the Western Area Mobile Police station is attending this
vicinity, at Garboldisham, at ‘The Fox’ PH, on the following days, and
at the times given below:

office is staffed by two specially trained Public Enquiry Officers,
Linda Forder and Peter Duncan, and by PC Christopher Howes, who will
patrol the area.
(Whilst
every effort will be made to ensure the office arrives on time, it may
be subject to delays at short notice.)

resolves to exclude the public (which includes the Press) from all or
part of a meeting, on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial

business to be transacted, or for other special reasons stated in the
resolution and arising from the nature of the business or of the
proceedings (Local Government Act 1972, Sch. 12, para. 8)

Parochial Church Council
- St Andrew’s Church, Blo’ Norton
-
- A few years ago, a large wooden
chest containing various church records was stolen from St
Andrew’s Church. Included in those records was a plan of the
churchyard, together with a register of burial sites and names.
-
- Within the churchyard, there are a
number of graves without headstones, and no knowledge of a name.
-
- Efforts are being made to identify
those unmarked graves, and to create a new churchyard plan.
